The Larder is a social enterprise in Preston. It promotes food that’s healthy, local, seasonal and waste-free, and their profits go to communities in need. The Larder works through a catering business, training academy and network of Lancashire farms.
Lancashire become one of the UK’s first ever Sustainable Food Counties with its very own Sustainable Food Charter in 2015. Various cities across the country have signed up to the Sustainable Food Cities Network charter. The network is an alliance of public, private and third sector organisations that believe in the power of food as a vehicle for driving positive change and that are committed to promoting sustainable food for the benefit of people and the planet.
